La familia amigos Kolping se constituye en al año 2004 con 20 jóvenes en su mayoría estudiantes de último grado de bachillerato y primer semestre de universidad, inicialmente su objetivo fue el acercamiento a las realidades sociales de los niños del territorio, es así como este grupo emprende un proceso en formación en recreación, buscando en ella herramientas que le permitieran abordar y trabajar con esta población.

Realizando trabajo social con la población vulnerable de la ciudad, encontramos un gran potencial de los jóvenes y su inquietud por la realización de eventos infantiles, por esta razón complementamos la formación con talleres como decoración, bar y mesa, recreación entre otros, con el apoyo de la Obra Kolping, y hallamos una fuente de ingresos importante que nos permite el apoyo a los estudios de los jóvenes.

En este proceso nos encontramos con la fundación CONFIAR quienes reconocen en nuestro grupo una fortaleza tanto en el proceso asociativo como en su capacidad para acompañar los programas de formación infantil y juvenil que en ese momento dicha fundación desarrollaba en el territorio Boyacense.

Del 2006 y 2010 la fundación confiar inicia un acompañamiento a la formación de los integrantes de la familia amigos Kolping, haciéndonos partícipes de grupo de estudio, formador de formadores, talleres ser cooperador, y lúdica cooperativa, profundizando en temas concernientes a confiar y especializando su quehacer para el acompañamiento en los diferentes procesos de la fundación.

Esto genera la necesidad de que además de fortalecer el proceso de formación con el público infantil, incluyamos como objetivo generar una visión más amplia del mundo acercándonos a procesos, organizaciones y proyectos de vida distintos para que a partir de ese reconocimiento de las y los otros podamos elegir y fortalecer decididamente nuestro propio proyecto de vida.

Es así como el proceso de construcción de cada una de las intervenciones sociales y de procesos propios de formación, empiezan a tener más intencionalidad encontrando, entre la lúdica cooperativa, grupos de estudio e intercambio de saberes,  herramientas pedagógicas aptas y coherentes para este fin.

A lo largo del 2015, 2016 y 2017 se fortalece la formación en lúdica cooperativa, desarrollamos grupo de estudio en educación popular, bien vivir y pensamiento solidario, nos articulamos a procesos de acción colectiva con otras organizaciones en el territorio.

Desde el 2009 y hasta la fecha  acompañamos a organizaciones en actividades y procesos formativos de jóvenes y niños, en los cuales el cumplimiento de los objetivos primarios se alcanzan a cabalidad, lo cual genera satisfacción en el deber cumplido en relación a  los servicios  por los cuales se  nos contratan o los  acuerdos de alianzas y acompañamientos que hacemos con las organizaciones y o personas;  sin embargo durante el transcurso de este aprendizaje y hacer, no nos hemos permitido la revisión profunda sobre la incidencia o impacto que estos procesos tienen en los integrantes de la familia de amigos Kolping, ejercicio que creemos indispensable en el camino de pensarnos construirnos y reconstruirnos permanentemente.
